Shipping & Returns
Last updated: September 12, 2026
Coletivate is a one-person home studio based in Denver, Colorado. Here's how shipping, local pickup, and returns work for orders placed through the Site.
Processing time
Most orders are packed and shipped within 1–3 business days of purchase. You'll get a confirmation email when your order ships, with tracking when a carrier provides it. Custom commissions and made-to-order pieces follow the timeline agreed on directly — see Services for details.
Shipping methods & cost
Shipping cost and estimated delivery window are calculated at checkout based on your ZIP code and order contents. We ship via standard carrier services within the continental U.S.; timelines shown at checkout are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees.
Live plants & invertebrates
Flora and fauna are living items and are handled with extra care. They may be offered on a local pickup or local-delivery basis only within the Denver area, subject to weather, seasonal shipping windows, and regulatory limits on shipping live animals. Reach out through the contact form before ordering if you're outside the Denver area and want to check availability.
Local pickup
Local pickup in the Denver area is available for most items — select it at checkout when offered, or ask us directly. We'll confirm a pickup time by email once your order is ready.
Damaged or missing items
If something arrives damaged, isn't as described, or your order is missing an item, reach out through the contact form or email coletivatellc@gmail.com within a reasonable time of delivery, with a photo if possible, and we'll make it right.
Returns, exchanges & refunds
Because much of what we offer is handmade, one-of-a-kind, custom, or a living item, we evaluate returns and refunds case by case rather than offering a blanket return window. In general:
- Ready-made, in-stock items (frames, apparel, goods) can usually be returned for a refund or exchange if you reach out within 14 days of delivery and the item is unused and in its original condition.
- Custom commissions, made-to-order pieces, and design consultations are generally final sale once work has begun, since they're built to your specifications.
- Live plants and invertebrates cannot be returned once delivered, but we'll work with you if an animal or plant arrives in poor health or doesn't survive shipping — let us know right away.
When a return is accepted, you're responsible for return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the returned item is received (or, for damaged/incorrect items, once confirmed).
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible — we can usually accommodate changes before an order ships or custom work begins, but can't guarantee it once packing or production is underway.
